I don't think there is a magic #... I've personally had stock B1 cases over 100MPH , the point of the blueprinting is just to make your existing lower more efficient, without spending the $$ to buy an IMCO or a better hydrodynamic type of lower , our target is more the average Joe , who wants there 78 MPH boat to be an real 80MPH boat without lying about it,.. lol

Just a thought to validate the numbers because I am sure some would see bigger results and some no results. Do a test on a dozen different style boats. Give the first 12 people a steel of a deal to have there units done as long as they provide test data. It shouldn't cost you much other than labor IMO. If you post real average Joes results good or bad it would give credibility to your company. There has been lots of snake oil products that have sounded to good to be true on these forums that have never produced the results. I personally think its a great idea that should have consistent results with a CNC machine. Lets find out.

I did the 3D file and cutting on the drives, digitized the drive and surfaced the drive flat within .002 and changing the nose area and leading edges to a knife edge. The nose area was not hydrodynamic at all so I sloped it more to a point. Also tested and run these on my 2001 35 fountain twin step with 500efi with whipples gained 2mph also, and seemed to handle better Near 100mph. The case is now 100% true from one side to the other this process can not be done by hand with these results. Best part of this process is that I can repeat again and again with the 3D file.

What about skeg length ? Had a boat with almost 1/2 of it knocked off and ran almost 2 mph faster. Light single I/O.

This sounds like a great idea , have you thought about making up a program to blend nose cones into the drive ?
Putting Imco's on this fall and the thought of cnc cleanup would speed up the blending a bunch

I'm a high 70s everyday with the occasional 80 mph run and still dialing props. I'm a single engine 29 with standard x dimension of 19.5 from fountain in 01. I'd like to see some results from a similar single engine setup, I could be interested depending on price. I have a standard xr drive (xz) lower.

I read an article on this. Company called Wilson Customer Marine in Stuart,Fl. Does it. Blue print for speed I believe was the name of the article. It was mentioned in another post on this forum.

From the pics looking at the Speedo pickup hole it appears that the leading edge was not in the center to begin with. I think you're on to something here. What's your time worth? I would send you a case right away.
