average cost per ride LOL

The ground is white, the water is hard, the boats are winterized, and if you drink a beer outside you have to wear gloves. Ugh.
I've been plagued by all sorts of deep thoughts like the physics behind why boats seem to run faster in salt water, why we seem to lose so many mph from the launch ramp to the water, and whether the Great Lakes are really rougher than the ocean or vice versa.
Cost per ride? Priceless. Especially since our season is about June (but Lk Mi water hasn't warmed up yet) through Sept. and then figure you're going to lose exactly half your weekends to weather, graduations, and weddings of non-boater friends and family who aren't smart enough to get married when the water is hard. (This is optimistically assuming we lose no time to breakage)
A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away we used to tow an alcohol flatbottom around and we figured if the engine was running it was about a dollar/second IF we didn't break anything.
If we did break something we had a formula that exponentially increased cost depending on whether the failure was engine or drivetrain combined with whether it was pilot error or not.
If pilot error was the cause of the failure, I also had a variable for the odds of me convincing my engine builder that it actually wasn't pilot error.
This formula was a fairly complex calculation ….that we came up with while the water was hard and the ground was white.
Merry Christmas to all & think Spring.

So he drives a Jeep?
Or the boat repairs cost more than an addadictomy?
All I know is both options are painful. It took me a good ten minutes to get the foreskin off the door sill plate, but it took more money and a couple days to get all the fiberglass shards out of my pores.

I don't tell my wife what anything really cost. The only way I can keep track of what I tell her on cost is I take a 0 off the end of every bill or invoice. So if the repair was $2000 I tell her it was $200. Even at that she still thinks Im crazy !!!! As for racing she thinks I make money at it LOL.Thank god she doesn't read these forums.
