That would be a great name for FF's boat. The Kraken.

Just depends on where you launch your boat. PIB is more like 12 miles from Mazurik. But that is what makes this area so great, you can boat as little or as much as you want. Can run over to Cleveland and hit the flats, or up to Detroit, Toledo, Port Clinton, Huron, Sandusky, etc.....Plenty to see and do.

I'd say 15-20min tops....but yes, that close

I've been out one day in a single engine SeaDoo boat all the way to P.I.B....I've also taken the ferry across as we left my buddies 38 Formula on the trailer due to rough conditions - Erie is usually one extreme or the other in my experiences.

When you have a small boat, you get less days you can go out is all.
I'd say, 80% of the time you want to go boating, you can make a go of
it at the islands.

Dave is referring to a 38 ZX, not the 38 ZR. The 38 ZR Comp boats are bad ass!!

Since this a silly ass thread, F wave heights and etc, we had tornadoes and hail last weekend at LOTO. My cockpit was full of hail and I was backed into my 50' covered slip. Run in that stuff..... Lol Black Thunders with 20 million pound deadweight and magical stepped hulls don't even mess with that weather
