Default January Boating in Michigan

Nothing like a run across the lake in January to get your juices pumping-or thawed out. Took advantage of the open water to pick up a trade in, otherwise it would have been April. Certainly wasn't any traffic at the launch.

When you can wave to ice fisherman near shore, it's probaby too cold to boat.

It did't help the speed but it held the snow so I would get a continuing stream of it in my face.
