Miami Ft Lauderdale Dockside Bar / Restaurant recommendations??
Heading to Ft Lauderdale soon for a week. Which dockside spots are best for boat watching?

If you are expecting to see performance boats rumble by you will be disappointed. I would bet if you sat at any ICW bar on a Sat/Sun you would see maybe 1 or 2 I/O performance boats in an afternoon.
30 years ago you would have seen dozens in a couple hours either near 15th street or Shooters. Everglades Marina (Apache, Fountain, Cigarette dealer) was down the canal from 15th street fisheries.......it is a condo now.

This is disappointing if it pans out. I'll be giving them a try. Was hoping to see more than here in Texas in Kemah. Still quite a few on weekends under the bridge at Redfish.

I was at Houston's recently and saw they banned docking now! Apparently the boaters were not the clientele they were seeking.....complaints about attire and large groups combined with boats loaded with alcohol vs. buying from the restaurant.
