What does a monster TG 38' weigh anyway?

Has to be heavier than his baja was right?

Jason

(just thinking in case of if I ever MOVE UP in the world to a larger boat I dont want to have to scramble around for another truck)
Rather just get one and be done with it for life pretty much.
Thanks man
Jason

I always pull my boat out in 4LO. Just that much easier on the
transmission. Plus in the summer I don't use 4wd much so using
it for pulling out the boat keeps the hubs working on a regular
basis.
Oh yeah, GET A DIESEL!!!! 99 Cummins, towing 7,000lbs of boat
and trailer at 75-80 mph...... 15 mpg.

Default Truck

I own a 2001 F450 Crew Cab Dually with the Powerstroke with a Gale Banks Kit, and a 2 speed Gear Vendor. This truck pulls my 38' Formula really good, as a mater of fact 75 MPH is no problem and the thing is stable. i would pull a 12,500 lbs at least with trailer with anything less.

Plus the new fords interiors look like my wife's SL500 benz!!!
They got heated seats and stuff like the benz too?

Jay.......That statement kind of odd actually. I make my living off of New Trucks. I hear that EXACT opposite from my customers everyday. My clients buy Chevys for the plushness. They find them more comfortable. (they have been putting seat heaters and satellite uplinks in longer then Ford in the full size truck line) They buy Ford trucks for the ruggedness and workability.

Being around these trucks as they come off the show room floor on a day-to-day basis I would have to agree. The Chevrolet's seem to have more creature comforts. The Ford's seem to be more rugged feeling and work ready.

By the way, I have always been a GM man. But I do feel that the Ford SuperDuty is probably at the top of the game for a work truck. This is VERY hard for me to say!

I am guessing the TG with trailer and fuel on board can get in the area of 12-13,000 pounds? We traveled at 70-75mph all the way

Jason,

I tow with a 01 F250 PSD crew 4X4 always in 2WD. Depending on the incline of the ramp I may pull out of it in 4WD high. Milage is about 15 on highway, not much difference when towing. The boat and trailer is about 7000#

We have a dually but it's a work truck and I've never towed with it so I can't answer your question regarding stability other than I've never had any question of stability in the F250
