DJD:
We left Thursday afternoon@ 2o pm from Riveria Beach, FL. Our launching site was APBA's dry pits from 1999 - Hurricane Dennis- anybody remember that? Seas were 3-5 ft until we hit the Gulf Stream - HOLY COW! I've raced in alot of rough water but have never seen or been in anything like that, they had to be 10-12's. We forged on and all three boats made it to Grand Bahama without incident, of course we got there first-haha. The race as a whole was very professional and inspections , registrations , etc were a breeze. The entire APBA staff deserves a thumbs up for providing us with a great race site. The locals were the real winners because they got to see some bad azz boats.

BA was incredible
We had a wonderful time. We brought 6 boats for the one design class and 2 others that dominated the 5 boat P4 class. There were over 40 boats and it was a blast. New racer won our class after over 10 lead changes and Realized Gain collected their $18,000 prize check from signzoo.com for the National Points Championship. Check out the story, www.h2operformance.com.

Brian & Pokerface, glad to hear you had a great (yet rough) crossing! I've done it with beautiful 5-8' slow rolling sea swells, 6" chop & the dreaded "12-15', higher in the gulf stream" breakers.
No fun when it is nasty but but you sure get a very rewarding feeling when you pull into Pt. Lucaya harbor (and when you get home
