Default coil

Hi all, I have a quick question a 1998 454 bravo I have some nice coils lying around 45,000 volts msd would I harm anything exchanging this with the stock one in the boat . that has less volts . maybe she would run better/performance. thanks

if you use an oil filled coil make sure you set it vertically, if it's an epoxy filled one you can put it any direction, should not affect operation of your engine. the msd 8222 is my go to coil for old timey stuff.

It won't help anything over the stock coil.
