on a side note...."astronomical import duties" and "fuel—about eight dollars a gallon in much of Northern Europe" when oil is 60 bucks a barrel....ya, we need to be more like them.

I didn't see one, Padraig, but what I did see were a lot of Fountain and Formula V-bottoms in excellent condition. Also, in talking with dozens of participants I learned that a lot of the boats had either been re-powered in the last few years or were going to be re-powered either in the offseason or within the next two to three years. The whole scene was kind of mind-blowing.
