I think the general will get elected next year and perhaps not the best man for the job, given the alternatives, he's not the worst either.
Sorry, back to winter....... had my last fix in 2016 in Italy, visited Monte Bianco with the gf. Threw some snowballs at her fat head in an attempt to knock the braces off her teeth, then retired inside by the fire. It was actually a highlight of the trip.
Friend of mine (on the right) lives in Italy and he provided all the warm clothing!

I used to enjoy skiing and I did it a lot. Now, however, as I get older, I can't stand the thought of getting up at the crack of dawn to go outside and freeze my arse off!!! I do like to ride my snowmobile but here in NE PA, we don't get enough snow anymore. I would much prefer being in shorts and a t-shirt on the water!!

What's cold for you? 40 degrees? We are still short on snow for skiing way up here in the Seattle area.

It probably sounds crazy but living in a hot climate all year round, I actually miss the seasons. Just once I'd like to wake up to a chilly morning with frost on the grass. Maybe have to wear more than shorts and a T-shirt every day and even buy a pair of long pants!
Life's still pretty good, with or without snow.

Absence makes the heart grow fonder. Yea the weather is great and it’s a lot of fun to visit but I have zero ambition to live in the south or southwest, too many people, and when you have too many people your bound to have too many freaks.
Not to mention hurricanes!

Actually I like a winter break out here. The 85-90f with 85+ humidity is tiring , very tiring , as you get older . Plus , the hurricanes take a 6 month hiatus. And I HATE hurricanes .
