The system is a few years off, I think, from a consumer release but it's really, really cool and has a ton of potential (Think collision-avoidance and more.) For the current wave of giant center consoles from the likes of MTI and Nor-Tech, I could see it ending up as a must-have option.

At one point, bow thrusters on anything other than a big yacht were sacrilege. Now you see them on 38-foot center consoles. Why? Because they make life easier and, as my friend Bob Teague likes to say, it takes 100 attaboys to erase one "Oh crap."
You know, there are days when I miss the manual transmission in my old BMW 2002. Until I get into traffic, which is most of the time. Then, I kind of dig the six-speed automatic transmission in my current vehicle. I used to rely on radio traffic reports to get where I'm going in the most efficient way possible Now, I use Waze—and it works a whole lot better.
