Maybe they will add a class for poker runners to race

Years ago Tom Whitman entered Hot for Teacher Cigarette in the Catalina race here in California, he ended up being the first boat across the finish line. it was really rough out so no-one was running flat out, but still it was an impressive run for a full cabin pleasure boat operated by guys who were not racers .

If the people who wanted to race would go race instead of going kamikazee to the first card stop, maybe boat counts at the races would go up???

Maybe N.B.R.G. should have submitted a proposal.

Looked back in the archives - when OSS and OPA combined for St. Clair in 2006 there were 65 boats. Love to see that again.
