Default New to the forum! Hello to All

Hello my name is Mickey and Im new to the forum and wanted to introduce myself. I had a Chaparral 2330 SS and finally just bought my 1st Baja last week and it is completely stock with only 380 hours on it. I bought a 1997 232 with a 454 and came with a 23p stock prop and looking to get some good information on here to add some hop ups and make some changes to make it more my boat. There are some things I would like to add and change to give it the newer look. I love it Im a Baja I have the Baja bug now!

I bought it from a couple that was retired they bought it brand new from our local Baja dealer and it is super clean and bone stock. I think I got a great deal on the boat.

Anyone else have a 232 that can recommend some upgrades that you would recommend for me to do?

Thanks everyone!

Welcome...leave it stock and enjoy it. Upgrade the interior if needed as well as electronics and sound if needed. You wanna jump in with both feet then start the bow to stern redo and be very prepared for a long road ahead and probably more disappointment than you want. Leave well enough alone and enjoy your boat. Just my $.02

exactly as said above- Leave it stock- then save up all that $$$ that you think you want to upgrade then in 3-5 years step up to some Twins!
Best of luck- my 2nd boat was a 212 islander then 29 Outlaw- Then Gun.

I've said this for years now....Guys are the only ones that care about speed and horsepower....women only care if its running or not...they cant tell the difference between 55mph and 75mph cause they are usually screaming... LOL
Leave it stock

Mickolobe - great name.

Let me apologize. Unfortunately, as you see, OSO was once a great resources for high performance boating. Most members have gotten older and now like stock motors and/ especially or center console boats with outboards.

Offshore Stock Only ?

Which 454 do you have ?

Thanks guys. I know I’m a little late on my response! Lol but I upgraded the Stero system and almost everything else now looking for the best prop to run on my Carbed 454 with 310hp

Any upgrades that won’t effect the life of the motor would be great if any at all.

Also it’s time for new exhaust tips. I have the Corsca with captain call exhaust with those ugly black rubber flappers. Do they make anything that will give me a louder mean sound?

Thanks guys
