From what I've seen from FakeBook is that there's no way it can have the breadth of content on sites like these; historical perspective, informative threads, archive of knowledge (super big deal, I have threads bookmarked from long ago with pertinent info), I guess today's society just doesn't see it that way. Flash and Dash, keep it shallow and we're all good to go now.

You can always watch the "left handed throttle master" work his magic on the big lake:

Usually between Jay (Naples Img.) and Pete were busting over themselves to post the pics along with a few others adding to the pic count... now it's down to Pete carrying the load

I mean, we got some great photo's from Pete in the photo thread and the media articles from SOTW. But seriously, where's all the threads from the members there NOW! This is one of the biggest boating events in the world and there is ZERO member threads about the event. Kinda depressing. Used to be an event like this would fill up the whole home page from all the difference threads from people posting stories and photos.
Guess I'm mostly bummed because I'm sitting at my desk at work but damn, I miss the old days of this place.

I watched a bit of it -- on and off today - Have to say for an opinion --- it was not the best shootout - seemed like a lot of pontoon boats and ton of advertising. 4 or 5 boat runs then 4 to 6 mins of advertising.
For the 2 hours I watched, half was toon boat runs.
It was many boats with outboards that ran the course. Pontoon boats and DCB boats were most of the show as it seemed for the day or least for the 2 hours I seen.

Been on fakebook in the past,if you say anything offensive or remotely close you get banned so is no different than a moderator locking a thread,if you disagree with someone and they report you here comes the ban hammer,I’ll pass on that, only thing I miss is the fountain owner’s group since there are plenty of videos and pictures
