When 2/3s or more of the population look up to the porn star kardashians like they’re royalty.. yea you’ll have that. Not much rational reasonable thought anymore. Same ones buying all the toilet paper. Like that has anything to do with this. 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️

There`s a ton $hit more stuff that can kill you including the regular flu . Actually you`re about 100x more likely to get the regular flu. Are pregnant women dropping dead from the flu , nope .
My kids school closed down a few days due to too many kids and teachers being sick this year. Nobody freaked out like they are now.
and Human fetuses have an immune system so I don`t even know what you`re talking about .
Other than assuming that this is a media conspiracy, have you actually taken the time to seek out data on the Cov-19 virus? Do you know: the incubation period of Cov-19; the asymptomatic transmissibility of Cov-19; the R-factor (how easily does this virus spread) vs the regular flu; the estimated mortality rate of those infected with it Cov-19; the % of patients infected with Cov-19 who require critical care (require hospitalization)?

IMO anyone offering others advice on how they should (or shouldn't) deal with a worldwide Pandemic should at least take the time to research the characteristics of the virus that they are brushing off as media hype. You uninformed advice could literally cost someone or their parents their life. At least read the article below before you brush Cov-19 off as Media Hype.

"Officials at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and epidemic experts from universities around the world conferred last month about what might happen if the new coronavirus gained a foothold in the United States. How many people might die? How many would be infected and need hospitalization?

One of the agency’s top disease modelers, Matthew Biggerstaff, presented the group on the phone call with four possible scenarios — A, B, C and D — based on characteristics of the virus, including estimates of how transmissible it is and the severity of the illness it can cause. The assumptions, reviewed by The New York Times, were shared with about 50 expert teams to model how the virus could tear through the population — and what might stop it.

The C.D.C.’s scenarioswere depicted in terms of percentages of the population. Translated into absolute numbers by independent experts using simple models of how viruses spread, the worst-case figures would be staggering if no actions were taken to slow transmission. Between 160 million and 214 million people in the United States could be infected over the course of the epidemic, according to one projection. That could last months or even over a year, with infections concentrated in shorter periods, staggered across time in different communities, experts said. As many as 200,000 to 1.7 million people could die.

And, the calculations based on the C.D.C.’s scenarios suggested, 2.4 million to 21 million people in the United States could require hospitalization, potentially crushing the nation’s medical system, which has
only about 925,000 staffed hospital beds. Fewer than a tenth of those are for people who are critically ill"

Coronavirus has gone too far. It's overstepped the line and brought an end to my trip to Italy next month.....

A generous buyer of a new yacht gave me first class tickets to meet him in Naples and join a small crew for a maiden voyage up the Italian coast to Genoa (plenty of stops along the way) where the yacht will be loaded on a ship and exported. It now looks like a captain and someone from the shipyard will make the trip instead. Sometimes life just sucks.

Thanks a lot Coronavirus!
Just had to 'vent' somewhere, rant over.

I would listen to this guy over the media. An expert in the subject matter for what, 25 years?

Would also listen to people like Marginn that has clearly done calculated research as it directly affects his profession.

JRE #1439 - MICHAEL OSTERHOLM;

Look I don't claim to be an expert on anything - other than maybe how to make a really good Long Island ice tea. . I am just saying do a little research for yourself before you dismiss the unprecedented steps taken around the world to stop this virus as some kind of giant media hoax. It should be obvious to anyone that Wuhan China didn't construct two hospitals in the span of a week, and that China didn't shut down the entire country for a typical flu bug. Both SARS and Bird Flu originated in China but China didn't do anything remotely as drastic to stop those bugs because they weren't nearly as contagious.

Now the hospitals in Italy and Iran are also overflowing because they had a lot of workers flying back and forth between their countries and China. I don't disagree that some may use this crisis for political advantage, they always do, but the crisis is real. Just do some research.
