Wonder how much the batteries cost. One pet peeve of mine is how everybody puts a big screen in that looks like it is just stuck there, not molded in or anything.

Once someone sells a Motor + battery pack + BMS + charger + display screen + go pedal in a kit

say 100 HP, 200 HP, 500 HP, etc kit, for various pricing, I'm in.

Find a old wrangler, start my conversion. I drive a Model X, wife has a Model 3.
Would LOVE to convert a jeep. I had 3 before getting my first Tesla. But way too many variables, stuff to adapt, etc. etc.

If I knew there was a kit out the door that would work, I'd totally buy it and get it rollin!

Someone needs to set a standard just like buying computer parts. Call me when I can add a aftermarket hybrid drive system to a late 60's muscle car without hacking the car up then we can talk.

Battery technology needs to make some large jumps still before electric performance boats become a reality. The energy density of batteries needs to be multiples of times higher than it is now to even come close to the range of gasoline ICE powered boats. Because weight is so critical to speed and range of high performance boats (especially cats), the current battery technology is not even close to giving us a valid electric powered option. It's the same reason we won't see battery/electric long-haul airliners in the near future. If you want to only go boating for 10 minutes or so, go build yourself a battery/electric performance boat!
