Default Anyone running the OXE diesel outboards or know some one that is running them?

Id like to run diesels if there is a reliable package available. With the alum bmw diesel it should be a solid engine. I’m not sure about the belt driven lower unit tho and how often the drive belts need to be changed. Thanks for any info. RM

Wow! He said the belts have a 800 hour service life in commercial conditions, many people run them more. The 300's are based on BMW power 300HP/1000TQ about 800 pounds. The 200's are belt driven the 300's are chain driven.

,

ilive,

if no one steps forward, you can contact their US reps directly and ask for a customer name near your location. I spoke to the builders during the Miami show and they were pretty cool guys as well as their dealers.

No, he explains it a little in the video.

Dude, I got back on this thread because I was thinking about it so much... The belt is a carbon fiber reinforced belt similar to a drive belt on a Harley. The belt drive unit has an 800 hour life (minimum) which is pretty damn good, it has a cooling system for belt heat too. But think of this - Its like a giant damper, none of the harmonics translate either way. Drive to engine or engine to drive. Its genius if you think about it. Kinda like its own Drive Saver!
