At the upper end, I’d like to feel first hand, the fascination for a Cigarette. Not a little 38, I’m talking Marauder or it’s 515 brother. No Merc racing engines, I’d want big diesels and surface drives. I don’t need 100mph where I live but cruising at 70 would be nice. With all that cash, I think Cigarette would oblige. 🙂

On a smaller scale, I’d have a Chaudron SV27’ / 300R with the hope of doing a deal and buying it from my new found best mate in 10 years at a throw away price.

A bit of dreaming and a bit of possibility.

A 38' fountain C.C. with tripe outboards. More a wash it and leave it model, less bling/less upkeep/less $$$ when it's time to return it. Remember the deal includes maintenance, mechanical and cosmetic.

It would have to be a large MTI cat 48-52 Relatively mild power (enough to cruise North of 100 and top out around 130-140). Not a poker run boat. I'd want the queen bed layout down below like they have, with the bathroom in the right sponson and the two seats on the left.

Arneson drives I think, because a rooster tail speaks for itself.

Blue and grey color scheme, tilt trailer just because.

PS - like the parameters you've defined here.

Currently, a 400 or 450 Merc powered cat would be top 3 (just which one???)....

+1 on PROTOTYPE - That was a killer conversion
SL,
I agree that the Mystic SL70 is 1 of my favorite boats of all time! But I'll take a Mystic C4000 w/450s, and a New Mystic that I can't talk about! LOL

Big blower power triple engine v hull, transmissions, arneson #8, full cabin, stand up boat. Diesel gen set, some form of mechanized hard top for shade that fully collapses/disappears, well built hull with no leak or standing water issues (you said I just have to maintain), drive by wire controls, galvanized steel trailer. I think I could make that work for ten years if it was brand new to start
