That looks like quite the undertaking. Are you being paid to take it away or paying for it?

Do you know boats rot ? Infet most fiberglass is wood that you can’t see. Do you know how to make such repairs or have 30k-40k-60k or more to maybe have it fixed ? Doh !

Free does not mean cheep.

We don’t know you and your abilities/knowledge/etc yet, so don’t take any of this personal.

Get this boat checked out by a professional before you end up with it.

We see this all the time. Newbie comes here getting s cheap old offshore boat that’s uncovered and full of debris&. We warn’m. They kinda get upset we are being downers, they still drop tons of money and doing things themselves, never finish, and they are gone.

But, if you do this sort of stuff and actually know condition of transom, stringers, seat frames, floors, cuddly, mechanicals and etc, congrats and please make a tebuild thread. They are always fun to watch. A bunch of real good ones have been done here over the years.

SB I want to know about that cuddly cabin?lol That is a damn shame to let that boat rot like that. A tarp from Harbor Freight is less then a $100.

Yeah, he should dig up Jbonz's thread on re-doing a boat, one of the best threads ever here, what this site used to be about before it got over-run with stupid expensive junk.

This is where you’ll be when you get down to what’s usable.

I would be paying for it, price has yet to be talked about. The engines are new they have under 100hr on them and were installed about 8 years ago.
all paperwork to prove this so I've been told. boat has been in heated storage for the past 6 years recntly the past two years it was taken out and parked where you currently see it.

The middle man I'm talking with about this boat does know boats and is telling me most of the information I'm telling you all.

I do understand what you are saying but I think she is just to beautiful to let rott away.

I do know mechanical as I'm an auto technician, but as to floors transom and stringers that is why I'm here!!! I don't expect it to be perfect i don't even think that's possible if were talking a 50 year old boat. there has to be some rott no?
