These plugs do not need to be replaced very often, however the plugs are no different than what are put in the GM 8.1 truck motors. Same part #, same plug, and much cheaper to buy from a local GM dealership. I had made the same mistake. I bought a set from a mercury dealer for a 125 bucks. The box was A-C Delco, with a Quicksilver part number sticker on the outside, and Denso plugs inside. the very same plugs a GM dealer will sell for less than half the price.
