Trailer Under Lighting
Want to add some trailer under lighting this year. What has others used? I know ICDEDPL did it but couldn’t find the thread.. Any suggestions? Was wanting to go with white.
Thanks,

It is until the police prove otherwise.. if they are securely mounted, all working and not interfering with following traffic - aren't they just marker lights from the trailer factory?

I just use the 16' strips off ebay or what not . I also get 1/4" wide double sided 3M tape since some of the chinese glue on them sucks balls

I just went through adding lights under my sons car discussion with him. After talking to a few people in law enforcement, it could be how it is interpreted. The bottom line, all lights installed on a vehicle need to say DOT on them to be 100% legal. My 02

that looks sick. I got pulled over in high school for blue neon, but orange/red as you have, I'd think would be fine. I'd do that, but I only haul it 2x a year. If I still had my old boat and trailer, I'd have done that for sure.

I used flexible LED strips from PlashLights on my fishing boat trailer, much higher quality than the cheap eBay strips. They come in red, blue, green, and white, or RGB which requires the Bluetooth controller. I run a second RGB controller for the speaker rings and interior lights, they all sync to my phone so I can control them from the truck or from the house when the boat is at the dock. I glued them on with pure silicone, they have made it from Texas to LOTO a couple times without issue, but I dont run them on the highway

Thanks guys for taking the time to reply, that definitely gives me some ideas. I wasn’t planning to run at night bout thought it would be cool when getting back on the trailer at night, backing in the driveway at night, or doing a quick wash down at night. Yes, a lot of effort for little reward but, thought it would finish my little scout rig out nicely.
