Default 29'-35' we can overnight on? Long time member returning!

Wow its been a LONG time. I was a pretty active member here 25 years ago.
After a long break from this type of boating we are thinking of getting into something sporty with a cuddy and the ability to put a camper top on for weekend overnights.
We moved to Florida 20 years ago and its been all outboard CC's since.

Looking for suggestions and comfort takes a priority over outright performance. So far I am thinking along the lines of a 35 Formula Fastech. I have a large garage and can fit a 38 but a 29-35 would work better with the other toys. Even the 29 Formula might be a good starting point to see if we stick with this. AC or the ability to add AC is a must. Just looked at the Donzi 33ZX in the classifieds here. Def something to consider.

We used to do this in Illinois and Michigan with a 26 Four Winns Liberator and had a blast but I need more comfort at 56 years old!

Some of you might know me from this boat. Its the fastest 4 cylinder boat in the country.

Pic for attention

The 33ZX Donzi or a Powerquest 340 Vyper or 300 Revenge would fit the bill if weekending is the goal. Both have far more headroom in cabins than the Formulas. Buddy of mine has a 33ZX and that thing is a roomy tank yet runs 78 with 500 efi's. The Powerquest's will run real good numbers with stock power too. Formula is a great boat, to me the deck isn't tall enough for much headroom in cabin for comfortable weekending unless you like crawling around or bent 90* at the waist all the time.

358 Sonic is identical from the steering wheel forward to the 386 Sonic. But the 358 Sonic does have some native porpoise due to how the hull was dammed in to make the shorter boat. You can tune it out with props and tabs.
34' Hustler Cheetah
38' 388 Hustler Slingshot
33' Active Thunder
37' Active Thunder

All good options to consider.

Welcome back. For a 29ft boat I like the Velocity SC for your purpose. I've seen many with A/C and even saw one with a generator and A/C. Since you like center consoles you might consider a 33 Ocean Hawk as well, one of the largest cabins in it's class, but still trailerable.
