Besides the obvious, what are some of the big differences between a 426 and a 438?

Ok. Skater’s website also says the 426 only weighs 6000lbs!... So the 438 was made off the 388, is that a newer “design” hull then? Just seems odd that they build two boats that are so close in size unless one is suited more for this and the other more for that.

That I’m sure is bare hull. You have to remember Skater is so custom that Peter himself is always tweaking. Think of a crew chief in NASCAR. Always trying to get that extra 10th and advantage. It’s the reason why skaters perform at such a high level. They are the least production boats in the industry. I mean they don’t even have a deck mold.
388 was built off 368. 438 off 388 which of course came from the 368. So it’s an evolution for sure.
426 is off the 40ss
