It will definitely suck watching the pump pass $2k to fill the 36 if prices get up near the $10 per gallon mark on the water out here (92 octane is already over $7 per gallon on land in some cities). However, even at $10 per gallon, gas would still be one of the lesser expenses of my boating addiction and not stop me from using my boats.

I don’t care if many peeps can afford a zillion per gallonWe shouldn’t accept anything more than $2.65 off the water.

Local news here just interviewed a couple marina owners this AM, about how gas prices are already hitting the marine industry, and how it will affect seafood costs, as well as impact the local on water restaurants and bars.. They are anticipating $8 for 87 octane on the water by the next time they need to fill their storage tanks

Look at all the other prices soaring right with it. I can go without eating or buying new cloths but not taking me off the water 😂. Been waiting to long. Pretty much narrows down to one’s personal finances and priorities. It won’t impact many of us in the northern Midwest no where’s near as much. Regardless - I tend to forget a lot of chit when throttling down out the channel into the sunset. I like to run… not sit.

Its going to hurt more than I wanted it to that is for sure. I usually dont ask people for gas money when taking them out because I already planned on going out anyways, but the boat might not run on Thanks this year..

Gas prices won't make me boat less, I may do more cooking on the dock instead of eating out though. I typically spend way more money on food/drinks in a day then I do in boat gas.
