As a guy originally from Indiana I used to always go to the Hydroplane races in Madison Indiana every year. It is a impressive event to say the least.
For fun watch Madison, its a bit of a cheesy movie but still kind of fun.

As a kid I would go to the Detroit River and watch the Gold Cup races. That is a very historic event and it's is sad the funding to promote the races dried up and no longer at the river.

I grew up in Detroit as well, and that's why I went this year as Ive always enjoyed the Unlimiteds
