ot do any of you guys play the stock market?
i have a stock that has doubled in less then a month. " cmgi "
please dont take it that im reccomending it. extremely volatile and no real reason for it to move the way it has.
is the bull finally back?
im trying to get the market to buy my next boat and wondered if others here play also ?
if so , what stocks do you like and why?

lotoparty,
thats great that cmgi doubled, however, how much has it been down? just remember that you need to keep these things in context. best of luck and remember asset allocation equates to 92% of all investment returns!

I rarely "Play" the stockmarket but I do spend most of my waking hours investing in the stockmarket. Players are gamblers who are hoping to make fast bucks, but also stand the risk of losing those same bucks in a hurry.
Are we in a "bull market"? No one can tell you the answer to that question at this time. Bull markets and Bear markets are only declared after the fact, ie. the market must move a certain amount for a certain amount of time.
Good luck on your investments and remember "A bull will make money some of the time and a bear will make money some of the time, but a HOG will get butchered."

Depending on the size of your position in the stock sell half. Then you're playing with "their" money.
When you play you should have an exit strategy going both ways, up or down. When you get greedy you're sure to lose.

I agree with puder.... DON'T GET GREEDY!!!
Look at Worldcom, more than doubled in the last month, but look at what happened just before that... ouch.
I spent the last 3 years watching my block of Lucent stock going from "Hey I can go out and buy a new Top Gun today"
to,
"Hey I can go out and buy some t-shirts that SAY Top Gun on them today" OUCH!
