I've used salt away for nearly 30 years with great results.

I use a mix of saltaway and Dawn.

I used salt away for years until I got smart and converted to closed cooling. Now I just use water for about 10 minutes on each side to flush the exchanger and CMI's.

I converted because I had fresh motors with aluminum heads so the timing was perfect. Do yourself a favor and convert...
