Here are some photo from the Miami show. Also the new Cigarette wave runner. It could not be displayed as a complete unit until it has been Coast guard approved per Alex Ruiz.

The new Cigarette 515 was the only closed bow stern drive on the entire floor. All center console with multiple outboards. Most had the new V10 Mercury 400

Yep I agree, but like you said the masses want party barges that handle the rough water and go fast. With the eggbeaters you can go fast and talk to all your friends plus hear the stereo at full throttle.

I was talking to a guy who sells Fountains, he told me they will not even build a Lightening unless it is sold with big bucks down and a contract like building a new house with payouts as they go. If you want a center console with outboards no problem. Or you can buy the new 300+ hp wave runner from Cigarette for 42 G.

Why didn't Alex Ruiz just say........we are displaying what we finished! The coast guard could care less what is on display as long as it isn't in the water! Think about the electric Cig 38 TG, that was a boat that was built for display (by AMG) so did the Coast Guard come inspect that electric boat? The 42K price for a single ski is going to be basically 100K a pair on the trailer out the door. Sure hope they are reliable as Yamaha/SeaDoo offerings. This is giving me H/D Live Wire (electric Harley) vibes, significantly more expensive than the competition and not what the market wants.

Nice pics, thank you for posting.

I thought the PWC was meant to be electric?

On the Cigarette front, I was looking on their Facebook and they have a new section “Up to Speed”(was released at start of February). I felt awkward just watching it 😳

Thank you for the post. I arrived in Miami last night and I am headed to the show this morning.

Did you get to the Venetian Marina part of the show? What did you think?

I was last at the Miami show in '05. I don't remember seeing any outboard equipped boats then. I'm sure there might have been some somewhere but if so I certainly paid them no attention. My how times have changed.
