I agree. All of that stuff can be corrected with probably $15-20k worth of work. I wouldn’t write a boat off because of that. Good luck finding a used 7 year old boat that’s 1/3 the price of a new one that doesn’t need some type of work.

boatless you say? Hmm. I can see you’re trying to justify the way you also treat something.

Maybe 1/2 price sure. Those are 700s not 1100s.

If you can’t find a 7yr old 400k boat that isn’t beat, then you don’t look very hard. But from some of your posts we see you want to be one who goes through them like bubble gum too.

Maybe I should’ve phrased the initial question better. What happened to this poor mystic in the last 1-2yrs.

I deal with 2 types of people that own toys like that mystic.
Type 1 spends a ton of money and time keeping it as perfect as possible to the point it’s a lot less enjoyable.
Type 2 uses it, has fun, keeps it mostly clean and maintained and just takes the depreciation hit.
Both types lose about the same amount of money. Sometimes type 2 loses less.

If you don’t think it is worth 400k, offer less than 400k.

Perhaps the photos are there to encourage that. That’s how many estate agents work, for example.

My Skater needed a lot of love when I bought it. I paid much less than the asking price. I’m not the slightest upset by that.

If it is not a very popular hull, there might be a reason for that.

Combined with the cosmetic damage, you may be looking at a bargain if you are one of the few people who like that hull.

I new SV-43 OL with 700’s is $1M now… I would assume that the Mystic is probably more. I don’t know though.

If built today with bidenflation and la la money yes I could see 7 figures. But in 2016 reality was still prevalent.

Almost 2yrs ago it was 10k more and far better condition https://m.powerboatlistings.com/view/64963

Again, I was asking to see if anyone knew what happened to it in a two year span. Not only cosmetically but mechanically as well if it needed new 700s at 162hrs.

I hear you, just comparing what else is available for late model boats around the same money, there’s not many to choose from.
