I had a Mini Hawk as a kid. It had a 25hp merc on it. It was fun, but it was a handful out on Long Island Sound. Completely smooth bottom. I think they are more suitable for small lakes/bays. Can fit two people, and there is room for a 6 gal or larger fuel tank under the bow.

I started out looking for a 15 or 17 Whaler for this exact purpose but ended up with my little 16 Donzi. Talk about NEVER getting hurt on resale - you’ll never lose a dime on something like that and I am SHOCKED at how well it rides….

That’s an SST 60 Racing Engine which is no longer available.
Many variables as far as a custom boat build goes and it’s best to contact LSB Britt Lilly to discuss options on builds and pricing.

I had an original 1985 MiniHawk for a few years with a 25HP outboard. I bought a 40HP for it but sold out before I had a chance to install it.
If you can get one with electric trim and electric start, I definitely recommend such. Mine ran 29.9 with just me in it on the Rappahannock River Radar Shootout back in 2009 or so.
I'm 6'2" and fit in it just fine. It will fit two adults who are not fat. In the radar shoot, I had my legs crossed and was tucked as far under the dash as possible.
I sold it to my buddy for his kids.
