Schwalbe had some killer stretched trucks, I thought I saw a video or read that the guy isn't building them anymore.

Why a 650? Other than the fact they look cool, I don't think they are more capable than today modern 1 tons. I have towed my 34' cabin cruiser over 30,000 miles in 5 years with my F450 Limited. Even at these weights, I can easily maintain 70+ going through the mountains. It is also my daily driver and has tons of luxury/ comfort items.

I’ll take the monster brakes and heavier everything, with a sacrifice of ride quality anyday.
450’s still don’t compete with the medium duty platform there.

Well, he said he decided not to get a 650 due to the ride quality. Of course a 650 will still be better, and a class 8 tractor will be better than a 650. But, the 450 has pretty big brakes, because of the 19.5" wheels. With triple axle EOH brakes, I can stop damn near as well as without the boat.

Loaded out my tub today. 28+K over the scales. Ride somewhat better with something on hitch. But still rough. During any emergency maneuver- the 1 ton will be sketchy.
BUT when truckers give you thumbs up every time you pass them
