Donzi new line
Donzi finally released their new boat line. IMO its the ugliest turd the brand ever built. No wonder craig left. He must have RAN from there.

I was ready to open the link and be horrified…..ummmmmm. I kinda like
them. lol but I like the axopar line too. Dig the dual purpose boats that offer a lot of versatility. Lake or ocean, hot / nice weather equals open
it all up. cool crappy weather equals close it up. Either way you’re running in comfort. Like stated above, this will sell well in Europe. This style boat is everywhere over seas. 1.6mil for the closed cockpit 54’? 800k less than a 50 MTI CC. 1 mil for the cc version? Seems very fair actually.
I see why the disdain and hate. It’s a far cry from what theyve traditionally built. And people do NOT like change. But like stated above, their traditional builds have been stagnant for 20 years. Time for a new approach. I look forward to seeing an actual video walk through and overview when one’s built. Wish them
luck.

WTF. Why would anyone in the market for that size boat pay well into 7 figures for a brand that hasn't proven itself since ~2010? This is just silly.

Iconic/BTM have started carrying a number of European lines and have been quite successful so far. This new Donzi line has a definite European influence. It is not for everyone, but those that like the style will have a domestic choice.
As far as nothing since 2010, that is just off the rails. They have had a number of models since then that have been quite successful and sold well.
The new model is certainly different, guess time will tell. But personally I will wait to see how the rest of the market accepts it? At least it doesn't look like every other boat on the waterways!

The single cat they made?
the GTZ line (I think they built 4)
the new ZRC comp that they built 2 of?
This is coming from a Donzi enthusiast with a 43ZR and 22 Limited Blackhawk Edition.

[QUOTE=PremierPOWER;4895618]Curious what has been successful since the ZR line?

More importantly, if you are an enthusiast of the brand, why the hate? What is your agenda?
Successful is in the eye of the beholder, I only know I have delivered a number of them in the last 5 years, all the different models, but I will say, the classics and the ZR's appear to have been the most prevalent.
Seems to me, to move forward, one needs to take risks and changes. Again.... Lets see how this works itself out.

Looks like Donzi, following example from Sunsation and Statement, have completely abandoned the performance market altogether. This coming from someone who had the 22ZX pic from a Donzi brochure under the acrylic sheet on my toolbox for a decade.
