A very expensive "Labor of Love" could be alot worse, good thing I'm working free grata. Went from 4" exhaust holes to 5" to accommodate 4.5" through the transom tails. Resealed with vinyl-ester resin yesterday. Still lots to do but making progress. Why do we do this? It's an incurable disease...........................

In all fairness to the shop the previous owner warned me it's very difficult to do on this boat. In fact he suggested pulling the starboard motor. The shop who did the installs also mentioned if they were to do it again they would pull a motor. I'm too old, stiff and fat to even attempt such a feat. The boat sounded great and fired right up after the winterization and impeller replacements with no leaks! I was happy with the day overall.

I realize we can't just mount everything on top of the engine, but tell me again why the seawater pump has to be UNDER the engine....?
Thanks. Brad.

Woops, my bad! That said, my point still stands. Many, many times it can be much more than just an impellor replacement. At a buck and a half an hour the ticker moves upward pretty quickly.
