Lower food cost. How? By raising the minimum wage? By restricting emissions further? By raising taxes on food corporations (who pays that tax?). By increasing oil based fuels taxes? Please tell us how she can do that?

Tell me how she will help the small guys. Exactly.

Immigration policy that makes sense? Like now? She's in charge now. Just let em flood in. Take the little guy's jobs. Take all the housing up so price go up and up. Brilliant.

One party talks about lowering food costs but I have not seen any details on how. This is a big deal and is killing the budgets of many. The challenge is that one party continues the upward pressures of minimum wage and policies that do not support creation of power (drilling/pipelines/nuclear/clean coal/etc.). The only facet that she has shared is that of somehow limiting corporate profits. Not only is this socialist, but it would also negatively impact investments such as 401k's which is the backbone of many retirement plans. I understand my ignorance, so please share some details.

You will not find many people that disagrees that our immigration policies are crazy. To slow down the illegal border crossings, our current administration is allowing a sham entry through current land ports. This not only makes for fuzzy math, but they are placing many of these illegals in swing states in an attempt to some day allow them to vote. Is this what you want? More illegals so that the vote can be cooked? It does not seem very American. Once again, from the grandstand there is an appearance of, after 3 1/2 years, them doing something about it, but they are just tricking us. I may be missing something though, what is there opinion about HOW to deal with migrants coming into this country and the associated costs attributed to them. Could it be that all of the money that we spend on this could be better utilized other ways?

I also agree to use common sense when voting. Take away all the names and labels and look strictly at policies and what each candidate accomplished when President or Vice President. Are we better off now, as a whole, that we were 3 1/2 years ago? What makes anybody think that the next 4 would be any better if we allow it to continue? I for one, do not like the trajectory. As they say, common sense may not be all that common anymore. Here is a crazy fact. 60% of the Teamsters say that they will not be supporting the current Vice President this election. That said, the guys at the top will NOT support thier members by supporting the candidate of thier choice. The membership is hurting and they see no way out with the Harris/Walz ticket.

Jay/Jupiter- Do you have anything of substance to add? Please no memes or cut and pastes. I'd really like to know more details about your stance on these issues.

Heard a funny quip the other day. If Harris is against walls, why did she choose Walz?

Ah, I forgot to comment on taxes. Lower taxes are good for everybody. Expecting the "rich" or "corporations" to pay more will only increase the price of products and services that they offer. Once again, watch the Reagan movie and things may be a bit clearer as to what higher taxes do.

One item that we can control is how we spend tax money, and we have done a horrible job of it. To frame that, we have spent about 65 billion dollars in Ukraine. A single filer will pay about $17,500 in federal tax. That means that 100% of the income tax of about 3.8 million people has been sent to Ukraine (I understand this is an oversimplification, but you get the point). Would is that same money were spent on your other concerns?

For most families that have tightening budgets, the fastest way to get back on top is not to make more (taxes), but spend less (fiscal responsibility). Our government as a whole has failed us on that front, but I believe that the challenging party has a better proven result.
