Of course there was a reason. Sweden discovered rather painfully that it could not assimilate that volume of immigrants from countries that were very different. So it basically closed the borders.

Shouldn’t we the sovereign citizens of the U.S.A demand that our borders be 100% closed without the fear of reprisal from the ruling political party in power.
Do you think it’s not painful for us, when our citizens are murdered, raped, and trafficked???
