This robotic harvest machine was engineered, built and tested 200’ from my office at the farm I operated in Duette Fl. It’s still in development. Over 20 million $$ invested from commercial growers in FL & CA. 95% of the FL citrus and strawberry industry use legal H2a workers who return to their homes in Mexico when the harvest is over. The millions of illegals that have crossed the border in the last 3 years are not at the farms and they’re not wanted at the farms. They are being dumped in select cities around the country.

The border can not be "controlled." Combine geography, human nature, history, economics it can only be regulated, at best, on the margins. Think for a minute about alcohol, tobacco and firearms. Combined, they kill hundreds of thousands of Americans annually, and we have local, state and federal bureaucracies devoted to "controlling" them. They are not controlled. They are regulated, at best, on the margins. Whether it is migration or drug use or gun control, the fiscal and political costs of true "control" would be unthinkably expensive.

3 years is the legal limit but I’m not aware of any crops that last that long. That long timeframe would involve multiple transfers between farms with sequential harvest times.
My plant stock nursery contracts are on the very short side at 4 weeks and being in October in North Idaho, there are no transfer opportunities so they return home to Baja.
The strawberry growers in FL&CA are on the extreme long side of the contracts at 6-7 months.

Love the staged Doritos photo op inclusion btw… I’m sure that’ll win over some people.
They have nothing! They will continue doing nothing! As mentioned above and witnessed by defecting Democrats - their allegiance is to the elites and the deep state.
I can understand each side’s loyalty to the party of choice. In any other election cycle, this wouldn’t even be a thing, but in this case, the DNC is ramming their candidate down your throats and some of you are just too caught up in your own self-righteousness to realize it.
Harris is not your candidate! She was picked by them, not you! Not your fellow Demcratic party primary voters (remember those guys… they pick the nominee). Doesn’t this give you any sort of pause?

Maybe their wind and solar supplied by China will help lower the costs... LOL

I know for a fact that may be true in your industry but when it comes to construction both residential and commercial, illegals are used, and by both Republican and democratic owned companies.
I was at a port security power plant during an outage when ICE came in and they lost about 30% of the work force, how they ever got through all the paperwork I have no idea. Took me almost 3 months to get my credentials to be on site un escorted.
Just a bit of info for you guys. The commercial guys like them because if they get hurt unless it's major they will not report it because they are afraid of getting deported. Therefore the company doesn't get a OSHA safety hit and it keeps them on the bidder list.
