Default Pecan windshield protection

Got a quick question! What do you guys use for windshield protection when towing? I have a Statement with a lexan windshield and we will be towing it 750 miles one way soon. Last time I used a product called Armor Guard. Although it worked good, it left lots of residue that was difficult to remove. I have looked at Dr Shrink Wrap but wondering if there is something really good out there that I’m missing. Thanks guys.
