Shorty

I found the naked black fenders would rub off scuff marks on my hull, much like black soled tennis shoes on a floor. It was most noticible on my white rubber rubrail (rubber on rubber). So I had some covers custom made to match my paint job.

I've used them for two seasons and I'm going to need to replace them for next summer. They're getting worn out. We raft up a lot at loto!

Learned the fender rub gel coat the hard way on last boat. On this one I went down & bought the hull hugr's When other people pull out their fenders I say no way & pull out my hugr's After 2 years works good so far

Ther worth it, they barely fit in the washer,and one of them covers the whole sundeck, they are huge and aprox. 1'' thick

The best ones i have seen were made of fleece. They were on some boats on display at the Newport R.I. show this fall. You think i could of remembered the info on the label. It was something like MainePoint. I am still kicking myself for not writing it down.

Fleece...now that's soft I wonder how durable though? Would have to have a HD backing material...hmm....

I had fender covers. I ripped them off because all the did was collect the dirt from the muddy Hudson river and it was like throwing a bunch of wet towels in my boat that never dried out and they became smelly and moldy. Naked is the only way to go.

nothing worse..nice boat and crappie fenders. Or when your buddy comest to tie up with his 3" walmarts that are hard and dont compress with terrible brown rusty stains..nno thanks I will go solo today!
