Copy ?
I checked with a fellow OSO Board mate , who
seems to always have the inside on most anything
boat related. Anways the followings is a quote
from him.
Was the boat named Mr. Roberts if so then it is stretched 46 - 50 Cougar and it is a Boss Racing Team hull.....They were built by A.J. Roberts who won the 85 World Championships in Key West in cat....He was also partners with Dick Fulham who was killed in a Cougar cat that year...
As to the Boss/Cougar deal there was some bad blood between the US operation and the Curtis's in England over that deal. Yes McManus 42 Comanche is a Cougar bottom even though he will probably deny it but if you were to crawl underneath both boats with a measuring tape they would be pretty damn close
to alike.

A good friend from the old days,Ernest Schmidt was the American distributer for Cougar, mid 90's maybe. Anybody know where Ernie is now?He had a long history with Glastron,Hammond, and Chris Craft during the Chris Cat days. He could add lots of input to this board.

JC,
Pompi sure has worked on some unique boats, I can just sit there and listen to JP tell those stories all day!
Just got back from MD on Friday. I showed the "Video" to a couple of my "Enginerd" buddies there @ PAX River and they were like "Cool"!! They too, were amazed that you get to have all that FUN, and get paid for it, to boot! I'll try to call you later, I have some incorporation questions to ask you about. Looks like I'm going to go forward with this "New" Corporation!
Also, Ma Ferry hit town last night, so now I have two HQ's to answer to!!
Talk to you later,
MD
