Escalade or Navigator
Looking for some feedback on these two trucks, both 03's. I have a 350 to tow the Thunder with so I am not all that concerned with towing capacity. I want an all around great driving truck that is comfortable to drive without that truck like driving. My father is a Ford employee so the cost of the two truck are very similar, actually the Navigator is about 2k less. But that 2k is not going to sway my decision. I have a 01 Navigator that I am keeping but I have heard the 03's blow away the older one. Help a fellow oso bortha make a tough decision.

Mmmm...
You're gonna have to drive them both. I don't like the new interior treatment of the 03 Navi as well as the older one. IRS is FAR superior on choppy pavement, but if you primarily drive smooth roads, there aint that much difference in feel and ride (the older one was a good ride to start with..).
01 and newer Escalade is a great ride too.

Escalade, no doubt. Go with the ESV or EXT.

I just drove a buddies Escalade EXT on about a 250 mile trip. Extememly comfortable well sorted out truck. The last Navigator I was in was a 2000 so I cannot really compare the two. I'm a Ford guy but I think I would still buy the Escalade.

Thunder Dan ask your local dealers to take a extended test drive. Like for a weekend, they may be a little hesitant but a good dealer will do it. Just be upfront and tell them a 5 minute drive does'nt give enough time to drive in all your conditions. Both are exellent!
