OT Cool Picture, Jet Fighter
This was sent to me my a Captain with US Air. He advises it is for real.

SORRY -- I'm not sure I buy it. The elevators are in a climb setting. If the plane was flying that close to the ship I don't think it would be in a climb. Also the plane looks a little cut off in some areas.

I dunno, could be real. When a plane is on its side like that, the elevator becomes the rudder and the rudder becomes the elevator. He could be banking a right turn behind the end of the carrier deck.

That pic has been around for quite awhile. I don't remember all the details, but it is quite authentic.

When an airplane is on its side and turning, the pilot is pulling back on the stick, this will move the elevator to climb position. The harder you pull, the harder you turn.
