All I can say is Thank GOD for President Bush!

After 8 years of you know who, doing you know what, we finally have a president that is willing take a chance by making a stand for what is right for America. I you do not think we are much better off than we would have been with AL Gore, just read for youself the book "Joined At The Heart" by Al & Tipper Gore.

We pray for President Bush, his family and adminstration, every day.

I made sure that I was at work during the speech. I'm a Republican and I like "W", but I don't like long-winded politcal speeches.

The people in power are gonna do whatever they want to. They NEVER asked me for my opinion, so I just stay "under the radar" and enjoy my life.

How about eliminating H1B Visas or stopping companies from farming all their hi-teck work out to India. We lost the manufacturing jobs and now we're in the process of losing all the hi-tech jobs as well.

Yea right. I was driving down the road yesterday and notice a white hummer with sheriff on the front of it. Now it wasn't an H2, it was the real deal hummer. Monmouth County Sheriff has to drive a hummer? Come on, someone is collecting way too much in taxes!

The speach was great, Bush has stepped up beyond any expectations and become a guy who WANTS to lead. When he was a candidate everyone bagged on his foreign policy experience. Well, what better way to learn than what has happened during his term. He has handled it well.

As far as a SOTU speech goes. it is more a TV show than an actual get something done speech. All this has been argued about in doors. It is a great thing that gives us the feeling that something is being done (whether true or not) Remember, few care and only see the headlines. This is a headline speech. you want detail, you have to read the articles.

Bush is definitely not as eloquent and I would like the president to be. As "powerful" as he is, I want a speaker, someone to hold the baton and make us look like they know what their doing. I do believe that he has made up for it with a bit of passion. When is he going to learn how to say NUCLEAR??????

I am in firm belief that to make good we may have to take a step back sometimes. Life may suck for a year or two or three to build a better future. War with IRAQ may set us back a bit in Middle East relations (terrorists mainly), but setting the people free from how they live today will, in the future, build a better societal view of who the Americans are. That is what needs to change. There will always be the fanatics no matter what we do. We need to raise the average and that is what taking Sadd-******* out will do.

War is as easy as this: We have become the strongest county in the world, anything can threaten us, we must step up and clean up. We have the power and the money to do it. I do believe we do things for money, but that we also believe in giving others what we have, FREEDOM and comfort, something the rest of the world wants (even if they don't think so)

mcollisnt

my ex-girlfriend used to work for a financial planner who basically specialled in finding tax loopholes. They recieved an exorbitant sum of money for thier services BUT thay saved tons of money for thier clients. They use all legal means and worked totally within the system. They just understood the taxs codes and used them to save $$$.

Primae example of tax oddities. My parents are divorced. My father is retitred but ran a law firm for 25 years. My mother is still workgin and a public school teacher and has been for 25 years as well. My dad made mcuh more than she my mom. She gets killed on taxes becasue she uses a basic run of the mill accountant. My dad hires a tax specialist and has all sorts of interesting things designed specifally for lowering his taxes. Yes my dad pays more but % of income is probably about even.

as for my comments about strom thurman. I like eth crazy old coot. You need a lunatic to appreciate the normals i just think he might be a little "off" as well.

My dissapointment isn't in George W, or slick willy or "the NY carpet bagger". It really more of a general feelign of malaise abotu eth whoel system. I voted for ralph nader of all peopel ie th last election. Becasue i felt he woudl do eth least damage. Yeah he is WAY to left on some issues. BUT at last he's not driven totally by party jockeying.

I thought it was a good speech. You really want funny you should listen to Matt Millen tell us how he fired Marty that is a bad speaker. Now GW did a good job he is believable, to me a regular guy. I have a lot more confidense in him than his dad. We have to sadham and his whole crew..and get it over quickly.

Taxes the more I get back the better I spend it all on ...the boat Getting it detailed, plugs, Gimble bearing. and storage...Prime example of a tax cut..we give tax cuts to company on equipment they buy a dozer I have more of a down payment on my new home.

Thumbs down G.W.BUSH

I don't know what you guys watched last night but it sure looked different to me. Lets see what has happened in the two years Bush has been in. The stock market drops almost 4000 points, gas prices are at their all time high, unemployment is skyrocketing, national deficit growing out of control, 90% of states are bleeding red ink, corporate scandal after corporate scandal,(lots of his close friends ENRON),now we should go to war (for a job his daddy didn't finish), give tax cuts to the top 1% equal to what the bottom 95%will get. Boy I can't wait for the next two years!!! All this from a guy who didn't even win the election.

A lot of current situations are more fault of past administrations. Sucks to come in during a down market and take the blame, but it happens.

The corporate connections are tough to argue away tho. And now that he has started, he better finish the job daddy FAILED to do.
