I dont like them on newer boats. I have an 87 baja that has one and it does date the boat, but I like it. Miami Vice.

The 47 is the only boat it looks good on, but im not much for an arch to begin with...I would say no if you don't plan on a bimini top.

They are just ugly. Maybe, it you plan on going deepsea fishing.

I will never be able to understand the need for an arch on a boat made for speed. Even if it is a fountain.

I have an arch on a 42 foot boat. It looks kind of cool.
I don't have a radar. It only has a GPS antenna and a stern/anchor light.

Mine sweeps back and is directly over the engine hatches. When you have to climb under it every time you want to reach the swim platform it gets a little tiring.
I would probably pass on it if I had to do it over again for this reason.

The Fountain has more of a rounded look, and I feel it does not enhance the overall look of the boat, besides the only arch to me that looks good is on a Sonic, they have more sharp angles that goes with the fatter arch, just my .02
