Trailer Tires?
I need to replace the tires on my trailer. Question is do I need to get specific with them or just get some ordinary replacements. I plan to go with a decent brand but I've been told by a lot of people to just put regular ole tires on it and let it rip. My wheels are 15inch and I'd like something a bit wider too.

I use good year marathons too on the trailers I sell . most Car tires will dry rot on trailers. What ever brand , make sure they are "trailer" tires . Usualy marked "ST" for " special trailer " tire . ANd get the right load range "C, D, or E" depending on your boat weight .

My Extreme trailer came with 14" rims with "C" rated tires that aren't the right load range for my boat. I blew 5 trailer tires last year and don't want to go through that again this summer. Does anyone know of a D rated tire that will fit on a 14" rim? I'm even having trouble finding a D rated 15" tire with a 27" diameter so that I can fit it under my fenders.

Marathons suck you can have those peices of chit. I've blown several but I do tow at 80 like a dumbazz I use Carlisles from discount tire never had trouble with these. I had so much trouble with my goodyears, bubles on the sides, they gave me new carlisles. they are about 59 bucks a peice. Always use special Trailer tires no matter what anyone tells you

what matters most is get trailer tires because they have more plys and will not flat spot as easy as car tires, and get the proper load range, other than that the brand is your choice, you will hear good or bad about all tires, put it this way a chunk of metal in the road does not care what brand tire you have
