Tim - We're all anxious to see more pics of your Skater. It sounds great from all the info you've passed on so far.

Cord - Have you considered doing the Sturgeon Bay Poker Run this summer? We're planning on it again and I would love to see your boat!

Jeff

We've been meaning to do it, but the god's have been against us. The first time our boat sank before the run. The next year I was still rigging. This year....

How's the depth up there? I've heard from several sources that it can get shallow.

We had no problem. Just like everwhere else, follow someone that knows or be sure you know where you're going.

Coming out of the Washington Island marina several local people missed a channel marker and ended up on a sandbar. No one got stuck, but several had damage due to ingesting sand or overheating. Once the first guy went, the others just followed. It was the first time I had been up there so we were watching the markers real close and didn't follow them so we had no problem.

Up Green Bay we ran in the #2 spot along side "Rare Breed" (he backed off the throttles and was letting us stay there... ), so we stayed way off shore and only had to worry about one sand bar that was shown on the charts and was easy to avoid.

It's well worth the trip! Let me know if you're going. One good thing is there weren't any other cats besides us and Rare Breed there so you'll be in a unique group. Also, none of the V's could come close to keeping up with us last year.

Who knows what this year will bring.

Jeff

lol. Yea, I followed a guy on the Mississippi once. The thing is that, even after I grounded, he was able to continue on!
