Re: What type of stereo system do you have in your boat??
I have a system being installed as we speak. It will consist of the following:
3 sets of 6x9
2 10" subs
2 1000watt amps
Clarion Head Unit am/fm/cd
XM Satelite Radio
Should be awsome. Thanks to Main Street Stereo on Long Island this summer is going to be rockin......

Has anyone listened to the new JL Audio marine speakers? I was wondering how they sounded.

2 12" TREO TSX Subs/sealed boxes under driver & passenger seats
2 Optima yellow tops/ need two more and beefed up alternators since sub amp is slowly draining a battery.
Gets the job done for me. 2001 Eliminator Daytona 28
Picture is before I added the subs under seats, but the Diamond Audio's are all clearly visible.

I would never put a huge stereo in a boat, the water, the pounding, the weather, they just don't hold up. A good stereo is too expensive to be disposable. I go with the simple $150 Clarion CD 4 channel, still sounds great.
