If Outerlimits beats everything than why is no one racing any in APBA Factory 2? Why did Mediamaster get spanked by Nick Carter Racing all year? I think that until OL wins something meaningfull you can't say they are the best. If Treadwell is racing this year we'll see just how great the boat is. I don't see it being a better RACE boat than the Gladiator or Donzi. Just my opinion.
P.S. If I had my choice of any performanc boat I would pick an OL
I sure would like to see a 37 AT run in F-2 and find out what it's all about also.

BJM - Of course racing can help a company image, you just made a statement "BASED" on racing and aren't convinced about the product UNTIL you see them win!
BUT, some manufacturers aren't interested. WHY? Because todays racers want/need the boats for next to nothing, meaning the manufacturer would have to commit to building the boat and maintaining it. So, while being busy building boats that put food on the table, they would need to "shove" a race hull into the process and be out-of-pocket for a $100k or more, while "pushing" back the profit customers...WHEN the manufacturer can invest that same money (over the year) into other advertising methods that seem to get a better return.
So, why would OT want to do the racing thing when they are "Back Ordered" and most likely struggling to meet existing deadlines?
Just food for thought!

hummm...why...someone lost market share when DOZNI started selling it's 38 ZR...i'm sure,,, some guy off the streets just picked up a boating mag, ran to DONZI and tossed 350k on a boat w/o a cabin!
do ya think they would be back ordered if it was not for racing??
AT does have a F2 boat...it's a back marker!

Joey,
As you know AT is not interested at this time to be involved with f-2 racing, for whatever reason. I would be curious to see what the boat could actually do with a factory sponsored team and an experienced team.
