"They definitely have some of the baddest equipment on the water, they just don't spend a lot of time telling everybody how good it is."

BGIII,
Well put. I'm proud to be a member!
IF and we don't know for sure Jerry decided to delete the post he had to have good reason! This is not a guy that is going to do something vengeful for kicks!

As it should be.

However - I still stand by my original post on the subject - the final point of which was: If you don't really mean to say it - dont press the POST button.

Pretty simple.

A forum like this - unlike the spoken word - you have a chance to review & edit what you wrote before you make it public - and if you dont use that opportunity to your advantage - sucks to be you. Read what you wrote - then ask yourself - is this really what I want to say? Is this really what I want other people to read from me?

Then make your decision - post or reset.
Personally I have only deleted one thread that I started. I meant everything stated when I posted. I did not however, consider the fact that we do not all think alike and some of the posts could be harmful. Although the intentions were good and the majority of responses were favorable, I was quick to remove it as I saw some unfavorable responses.

For the record, I voted "NO". But what do I know, I'm just a lowly Baja owner!

I also voted "NO". I don't know anything either. I own a second rate boat too...

Hell, my boat barely floats.

Default Hey 388...

I see that you are from the same hometown. My wife spotted a big Hustler sitting in a garage of one of those big mansions in Sutherland (off of U.S. 42). Wouldn't be you, would it? Do you boat on the Ohio at all? We usually run up between Wetport and Madison.

The Apache thread was very interesting and informative.

However, I read it until I was sick of it. Have not even looked at it in a couple of weeks.

They are great boats, it was a great thread, but I disagree with what was done.

Just my humble opinion.

I VOTED "NO".

Budman,

Yes, I boat on the Ohio quite a bit. I also go to Cumberland and Herrington. I'm originally from Lexington. Do you ever get down toward Louisville? I come up to Madison for the Regatta. I normally don't go much further than Grassy Flats. We need to hook up this summer. I'm putting in when I get back from New Orleans. GO CATS !!! (3/22 weather permitting...). If you'rs a Cards fan, I won't hold it against you.

I just looked at the number of people that posted to the apache thread. There were 57 different people. I was surpised when I saw Too Old #7 of top posters on list with 12 posts. #1 poster was lucy with 97. Next was battle cry with 36, Zoomnfun with 19 & then back4more @ 15.

I wonder how many posts Too Old lost in the 2 dates of posts that were lost.
