I got all new stuff from Ford I know it cost more but the first stuff made it 160,000 mile's and I was giving it to my dad, he was towing it behind an RV so if the rebuilt stuff craped out I wouldn't be around to fix it. I have seen reman stuff for $150 but don't trust it. I used to work at Ford for 5 years and very rarely did new stuff mess up. I worked on car's for 14 years and hate doing it on my own stuff. Motorcycle's are a lot cleaner and cooler to work on. But thank's for the link I'am doing a restore on a 68 bronco with a 93 5.0 motor so they might have some stuff I need.

Hyper, give your head a shake son
A 10 to 15 year old high mileage Japanese sports car? R U NUTS? I hope you have a large bank account balance because its going to bleed you to death one part at a time. 300 zx optical distributor assembly(notorious for failing due to oil intrusion) $1300.00
Leaking fuel injectors,(common fail)$150.00 each and 5 hrs to replace
Supra Turbo charger(high failure rate)$1750.00 remanned plus install
Central viscus coupler(high failure rate if abused) about $3000.00
The reason these cars sell so cheap is because by the time they're old and high mileage, they are done for. Nobody bought them to drive like gramma jones. Remember that when you go shopping.
I have pre purchase inspected hundred of cars for customers through the last 20 or so years and its rare to see a good high mileage used Japanese sports car that doesn't generate a rather lenghty list of required repairs.

Tommy, check for rust on the rear frame rails and on the cradle where the control arms bolt in the back they rott out there and once thats gone they're junk,
BTW: if you want the project my buddy has the motor (turbos inc.) and the manual trans from like a 92 3z he would prolly part with cheap, its just sitting in the garage.

Hyper,

The 300zx is a very nice car and allot of fun. Stick with a 300 or a 1994 or newer camero or mustang. If i was sixteen on limited budget, find a 1994 Mustang GT conv, put a roll bar on it and you will be good to go, plus all girls love Conv.

For the love of god stay away from anything German, you don't even want to know what your insurance will be not to mention repair bills

Will

How reliable are the 92-up Camaro Z28 with the 6spd and the 95-98 Mustang GT's?

I have had 3 mustang's they are real tough cars, I used to beat on them and they hardly ever broke. I thought they were the best untill I got my first Vette.
