99% of the time I go to Grand Lake in N.E. Oklahoma and usually once or twice a season I go down to Texoma or Lewisville. I have only had the boat in the water four times, bought it the very end of last season. Can't wait to get it in the water again!!

fred from this board has a 40 Excaliber Hawk. He got it last spring. I have personally driven this boat. I think (don't quote me) it's got 400 hp Cyclones in it and TRS drives (I'm sure of the drives). I got 58 out of it on Lake Michigan with me, fred, his two daughters, and more than half tank of fuel, and kinda made Fred mad as his best speed to that point had been 56 mph. Fred's boat has an arch and a HUGE sun pad over the engines. Even has A/C. Rides like a dream.
Oh, and it has the wood floor (teak??). Kinda cool.

Here I am....I have a 1985 Wellcraft Excalibur Hawk 40....it's actually stamped a 1984 although Wellcraft say's they only made it in 85, anyway as Waterfoul said it has 454/400 hp Cyclones in it with TRS drives and the best I have got out of it since Foul drove it is 60 on Gps, it still has the original rear-riser with 3" outlet thru-hull exhaust on it which I'm changing to center-riser with 4" thru-hull this season (in the next couple of weeks) The engines have been gone thru and have RPM intakes and 750 Demon carbs on them...it is a real tank and as Mike said it "Rides like a dream", anyway I'll get a pic posted tomorrow from work (don't have any here now)....we love the thing and stayed 30+ nights on it last season....which was the first season I had it...I still have lots of clean-up to do on it and am working on it as time allows....Fred

I would love to see the pics. Between our little clan, we have 3 Hawk 40's. Ours is Stamped 1982, another 1984, and im not sure of the 3rds build year. Two are at Texoma and one in Sarasota. When i was at The Shootout i saw another solid white 40', anyone know who that is? When the Wellcraft Excalibur and the Excalibur excalibur are set next to each other there is quit a bit of difference. Ours sits about 2 inches lower in the water and when you hit the sides of it one flexes a lot more than the other. Anyway. Fred i would love to see those pictures and as soon as i get 15 posts ill post plenty. Ours had the rainbow paint job and was called Satisfaction. It is now solid white.
